For this post I decided to do a one-on-one interview with my friend, Gavin Ambrosino, who is a Charlotte Hornets fan. The Hornets finished the 2021-22 NBA season with a 43-39 record and were eliminated in the play-in tournament by the Atlanta Hawks. Some of the star players on the team include LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, Isaiah Thomas, and Gordon Hayward. Some of the interesting facts about this team are that Michael Jordan is the majority owner of the team and they were called the Charlotte Bobcats for a time, and the franchise has been in the NBA since the 1988 season.
Gavin became a Hornets fan after watching Kemba Walker play for the team. Although Walker does not play for the Hornets anymore, he was still a solid player for them averaging 19.8 points per game during his eight seasons spent on the team. Ambrosino’s favorite player on the Hornets is LaMelo Ball. Ball just finished his second season in the NBA averaging 20.1 points per game and 7.6 assist per game. He also won the Rookie of the Year award for the 2020-21 NBA season. LaMelo has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.
